THE MALDITA MOMENTS

Girls sharing their most maldita moment...

1. On the first day of the Mango sale, the sister of my
friend was looking around and picked up a dress when a woman
at the counter started screaming,"Put that down,
that's mine!" The sister of my friend looked up,
looked at the woman up and down, raised an eyebrow, and
replied, "Excuse me. You are NOT small'"

2. A supervisor once told a worker who has difficulty in
understanding instructions, "Ang ulo, hindi lang yan
pinapatong sa leeg, ginagamit din yan sa pagiisip."

muna ako, baka magmukha akong yaya mo." The other
friend replied, "Wag na, magmumukha ka lang yaya ko na
naka-makeup."

your smartest day, you're not half as smart as I am on
my dumbest!"

"Sir/madam, the parking space that we have reserved is
for the College Secretary, not for you. Guard."

told me, "Grabe, lalo ka pang tumaba!" So I told
her, "Ikaw din, lalo ka pang pumangit!"

8. Pag sinisingitan ako sa pila, nagpaparinig ako. I say,
"Ang pilang ito, according to beauty. Mga panget
muna."

9. From the movie She's The Man: "Girls with an
ass like mine don't go out with boys with a face like
yours."

10. "Maliban sa mukha mo, ano pang problema mo?"

11. I once told an officemate who kept on bragging about
her new shoes, " Sale , right?"

12 I pointed a "7 items or less" sign to a
clueless pasosyal at the supermarket. She bitchily answered,
"I can read!" Sabay irap. So I shot back with,
"I know, but can you count?"

13. "Tuwing nakikita kita, gusto ko mag-sorry sa eyes
ko."

14. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be bitchy.
It's an involuntary reaction whenever I encounter ugly
people."

15. Man: "Hey baby, what's your sign?"
Woman: "Do not enter."

16. Man: "how do you like your eggs in the
morning?"
Woman: "Unfertilized."

17. After receiving her pay slip and realizing how much
she's paying for tax, a sosyal officemate exclaimed,
"Ang mga poor ba nagbabayad din ng tax?"

18. During a hike at Mt. Mayon , we had a maarte companion.
When we ran out of water, our guide got us some from a
natural spring. The maarte girl said, "Dini-drink ba
yan?" I told her, "Bakit, sa inyo ba ang water
chinu-chew?"

19. Overheard from 2 kids talking.
Kid 1: "Lahat tayo galing kay Adam and Eve."
Kid 2: "Hindi yan totoo. Sabi ng papa ko, galing tayo
sa unggoy."
Kid 1: "Hindi natin pinag-uusapn ang pamilya mo, kaya
wag kang magulo!"

Existence

A friend asked me a few days ago regarding my love life that so far doesn't exist. I was taken aback since we never really get to talk about this kind of stuff and she's not the type who gets seriously curious with other person's love life. I honestly answered with a big "NO, I don't have any" I said.

She asked me why and I said I don't know since that was the real score. I don't know where the f*** is the guy that was supposed to make the best out of me. I added just to shut her up which made her laugh. After that conversation. It made me think about what I have done with the half of the 26 years and 10 months I have spent alive. Granted that half of those times I was an infant then the other's when I was merely a kid. I know I have spent three years with an ex, but what about the other half? Have I been sleeping that long?

Then it hit me. Was it really my fault I ended up alone at 26? Was it because of a certain event in my life that left me scared to death of trusting the opposite sex or was it because I got sick and I know that there's this big chance that I might just not last long in this world?

But whatever the reason is. One thing remains, I don't have anyone and I'm not happy about it.

Yet, I can't bring myself to liking just anyone. It frightened me that I might mistook the feeling of longing with love. I don't want to be with someone for the reason that I was vulnerable and he happen to have passed by. I want the real thing. I want to wait even if it takes me years. If he never appears then it was meant not to.I just have to accept it. Then, I will do plan B!!!

The Black Hole of Insanity

For people who know me. I can easily be ranked as a junkie when it comes to a good theatrical performance. I love watching plays it can take me to places that I have never been to and do things that I have never done before. It can influence my life in an instance and can change my perspective without any difficulty [much less force from my friends]. A play can also depress me so much that I will prattle about it harder than anybody else. [That's what I am doing right now]

Remember when I posted about Amor's visit in Manila because of the plays that we ought to watch? Well this is all about the plays. It took me a month before I can finally gather myself and make a blog out of it.

You see, we had to watch 3 plays then at two different locations. One of it was held at our own beloved university which was done by the theater group that we belong to. The other two where done by a group of second year and third year students from a school where my friend Amor helped the kids through a workshop.

I was really looking forward to watching our org's play since it's been a year and their budget is quite big. I was hoping that since they prepared for it for almost 5 months. It will make an impact on me.

Creepy
It did, the impact was so huge I was taken in a different place, no it's not a different dimension and it was not pleasant either. I was taken into the black hole of my insane mind. It was not easy. I was in a catatonic state for an hour. I was so thankful when they had a 10 minute break in the middle of the play because I had to wipe my drool out of my face. No, I'm not exaggerating. I am stating a fact. And yes Margy. I should have listened when you told me not to watch that horrid play. From now on, I will stand by your judgement. I swear I will!

Now the next play we've seen that day was an amateur done by mere children. But compared to what I saw from the first play. We've been to the two last ones were like a breath of fresh air. They might not be professionals but they know what they are doing and they did not spend eighty effing thousand on a speech choir.

Aside from Cessa's constant goofiness on one of the casts, the devil, everything turned out fine!! Thanks Amor you made me realize that teaching children might not always be a bad idea.

The Replacement

I went home a week ago to spend Seollal [ Lunar New Year] with my family, not because we celebrate Seollal but because it was one of the two times a year where vacation is more than just a day for me. On my way home I already called my sister to be sure that she's home when I arrive. You see my sister is currently the busiest bee we have at home since she is always everywhere. She's on her 3rd year taking up Communication Arts and she's been doing so much these days. Upon arriving, as a habit my sister ransacked my tote to see what she can hoard from me. And there it was my new Sophie Martin wallet that I so love, she spotted it and declared at the top of her lungs that she wants it and I have to give it to her. Usually I give in easily but since I missed the brat so much I decided to make it tinny weeny itsy bitsy hard for her. To make it short I said no!! She was wailing like a siren because she said she really wants it. I retorted that I will only give it to her if I can get something of hers that she likes a lot. She said okay so I ran to her room and get one of her favorite lip glosses. It was JEMMA KIDD MAKE UP SCHOOL lip gloss in fuchsia. She was shocked because she knows how expensive it is, it was more than the price of the wallet. But I said that she can never have it back and it's a lesson for her to never do unto other's what you don't want others to do unto you. So! I have it; her most beloved lip gloss is now mine!! Bwahahaha!!!

So the brat learned her lesson and I got a new lip love.

Just to give you an idea why I and my sister love this!

It's not too powerful, the color blends well and it looks quite natural.

It's not too scary to apply since it's in a tube and with just a few dab of it and viola it's done.

Lastly, it was a bit expensive it was given by Anna and was about 14 Pounds or not less than $22 and both of us will not waste money just to have one of these baby!!!

Another sweet trip at Banapple!!

I, and my friend seldom see each other nowadays since most of us are busy with our own existence. Whenever we see each other we tend to be more than we ought to be. We laugh at the craziest things and make the most tactless remarks about almost everything. One thing that we can never miss on this meetings are satisfying our gullet with the sweetness of Banapple's wickedly delectable chesecakes. The chesecakes are like our anchor to reality seamingly saying that even if distance kept us a part we certainly shared something that we all love.

I like this sooooo much!!!

Amor, our friend that decided to go on hiatus in an undetermined amount of time went back to Q.C for some plays that we ought to watch. Since she was already here we didn't let the oportunity of eating at our favorite resto pass. After watching a brain numbing speech choir performance of the theater group we all belong to, we decided to snap out of our catatonic state and eat dinner out. I, with Amor, Tine, Karla, Princess, and Shepoi shagged the ill feeling we had from watching and enjoyed ourselves with tons of different pasta, chesecakes and laughters. We end the evening with a very long wait for Tin's cab....hehehe!!!

I with Shep-shep!!

                                                                                     Shep-shep and Amor

Tine, Cessa and Amor

           Carla and Tine

We might not see each other as often as we want to but with memories like this who can forget!!!

The remains of our pasta trip!

To Love Again, a movie I really love!

I am a cheesy and corny gal and I'm proud of it!!! Well most of the time I am. Anyhow I want to declare this since I'm planning to rant about a favorite movie of mine in titled To Love Again. You must think that this is another old English love story movie that you have heard but you haven't seen right? Wrong, for it is one of my favorite Tagalog movies made in the 80's. Yes my friend, it was an oldie but a goody. It was released in July 1983 under Viva and was directed by Danny Zialcita. The cast was mostly composed of high caliber actors and actresses of their generation including Liza Lorena, Dante Rivero, Tommy Abuel and more.

Enter Sharon Cuneta as Raffy, an heiress from a blue blood family living in the south, because of her father's death she was forced to marry an heir from a very rich family who is of course Miguel Rodriguez aka Bullet. (Watch the movie and you'll know why he's called Bullet.)

Anyway, never seeing who Alberto is, the guy she was supposed to marry, she decided to run away and go to her father's cousin who is non other than Odette Khan. It was hilarious I tell you,Odette Khan made this movie memorable. But since her mother came looking for her, Raffy decided that it is better if she can find a job far from her mother's clutches. That time there was a job opening at a log cabin in a mountain area and she took the job immediately. At the exact same time, Bullet with her hunter friends who also wanted to go to a certain mountain. You got it right gal pal, they went to the same mountain . I guess I have said enough since I don't want to end up as a spoiler right? So for those who are curious enough to want to watch this movie you can check it out at  www.youtube.com or http://youvies.piczo.com/?g=51196262&cr=5.

You will never regret it!!!
